My name is Alex Caron. I'm a local woodworker and family man in Blackburn Hamlet, Ottawa, ON.
My love for woodworking, building cabinets, and home improvement projects that make big changes in small spaces began in high school. After graduating I studied carpentry at Algonquin College. I learned modern building sciences, best practices for new construction and renovation projects alike, and 15 years later I'm still engaged in updates and changes in the field in order to remain up to date with industry best practices. I strive to use the best modern practices, materials and tools to build home and furniture solutions that will enhance your living space and stand strong through many years of use.
I have experience in detailed restoration of cabinets, installing, repairing, and restoring stairs and railings, new home construction with big and small builders, and designer-led renovations on mostly older homes around the city, with emphasis on modifying small spaces by adding custom build-in furniture to optimize spaces.
Using custom built-in units, cabinets, and storage to help people get the most out of their living spaces made me feel sure I had found my calling. These days my focus is on commissioned fine carpentry, custom-built cabinets, and small renovations that feature unique customization.
